I am writing this to express my deep appreciation of the services rendered by Dristideep Eye Institute at Dankuni, Hooghly, in the field of eye care wherein quality service is available at highly affordable rates – a rather rare phenomenon in these days of commercialization of medical care. We have known Dr Sourabh Sanyal, one of the founders of this Institute for several years as not only a knowledgeable and competent eye care specialist, but also an excellent human being devoted to selfless service. He has been the consulting eye care doctor for all our monks serving at the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda (Deemed) University at Belur Math for several years and has been associated with Ramakrishna Mission Centres conducing free eye camps even in remote places like Mayavati in the lap of the Himalayas.
I am particularly thankful to Drishtideep Eye Institute at Dankuni for conducting an emergency operation on my right eye during the critical period of national ‘lock down 3.0’ on account of the coronavirus pandemic. Dr Sourabh Sanyal and his colleagues, Dr Subijay Sinha and Dr Tanushree Chakraborty, were so caring and bestowed personal attention in the successful of the operation in early May 2020 amidst the ‘lock down’ period.
I wish and pray that the Drishtideep Eye Institute at Dankuni grows from strength to strength in the service of eye care given its focus on quality and affordability in a homely, unsophisticated environment with human touch, so vital in the field of medical care of the suffering patients.
